VR-64 Condors C-130 You Call, We Haul Patch
Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 64 (VR-64) — "Condors" — C-130T Hercules
Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 64 (VR-64), the Condors, is a United States Navy Reserve logistics squadron operating the C-130T Hercules from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The squadron traces its lineage to 1 November 1970, when it was established as Patrol Squadron 64 (VP-64) at Naval Air Station Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, initially flying 12 Lockheed SP-2H Neptune aircraft for anti-submarine warfare operations. VP-64 transitioned to the P-3A Orion in 1973-1974 and the P-3B TAC/NAV MOD in 1990, conducting 26 major overseas deployments.
During its patrol squadron years, the Condors tracked and assisted in the seizure of narcotics shipments estimated at $2.5 billion in street value during counter-narcotics operations from July to September 1995 at Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. On 18 September 2004, after 34 years as a patrol squadron, VP-64 was redesignated as Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 64 (VR-64), transitioning from the P-3 Orion to the C-130T Hercules with assistance from sister squadron VR-55. The squadron relocated to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in 2011.
Today, VR-64 operates the K/C-130T Hercules under the Fleet Logistics Support Wing, providing critical air logistics to the Navy and Department of Defense worldwide. The squadron's motto, "You Call, We Haul," captures the Condors' commitment to delivering cargo, passengers, and critical supplies wherever and whenever they're needed. The Condors remain the Navy's only source of dedicated East Coast C-130 air logistics.
