Official VP-44 Laging Fire Combo Patch — US Navy Patrol Squadron Maritime Patrol Aviation Embroidered Patch

"Laging Fire" — the Golden Pelicans of VP-44, always ready, always on station.

Patrol Squadron 44 (VP-44), the "Golden Pelicans," was a U.S. Navy maritime patrol squadron with the motto "Laging Fire" (Tagalog for "Always Ready"). VP-44 operated the P-3 Orion and conducted anti-submarine warfare, surface surveillance, and maritime reconnaissance missions from bases across the Atlantic and Pacific. The Golden Pelicans deployed extensively during the Cold War, tracking Soviet submarine activity and maintaining the Navy's vast maritime patrol network. VP-44 was disestablished as part of the post-Cold War consolidation of the patrol aviation community, but the squadron's legacy and distinctive motto endure among maritime patrol veterans.

Perfect For:
VP-44 Golden Pelicans veterans, P-3 Orion aircrew, Cold War maritime patrol aviators, and US Navy legacy patrol squadron patch collectors.

Laging Fire. Always ready.
