VMM-362, the Ugly Angels, is a Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron flying the MV-22B Osprey out of MCAS Miramar, San Diego, under the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The avionics Marines — the green cranials — are responsible for every wire, circuit board, display, and communication system that makes the Osprey more than just a flying machine. When the radios work, the navigation is accurate, and the flight computers are happy, it's because avionics did their job in the dark hours before the pilots ever showed up. This patch is for the Ugly Angels' wiring wizards who keep the electrons flowing and the aircraft talking — the unsung heroes behind every successful mission.
