VMGR-252 "Otis" is a Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron flying the KC-130J Super Hercules out of MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, under the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. Named after their cartoon elephant mascot, the squadron has been providing aerial refueling, assault support, and tactical transport to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force since the earliest days of Marine Corps transport aviation. This 95th anniversary shoulder patch commemorates nearly a century of faithful service — from the earliest transport missions through the jet age and into the modern era of expeditionary logistics.
