Official VAW-123 Screwtops Last Ride of the E-2C Shoulder Patch — Farewell to the Charlie Hawkeye
The Screwtops flew the last ride of the E-2C Hawkeye — closing a chapter before transitioning to the E-2D.
Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 123 (VAW-123), the Screwtops, flew the final operational flights of the E-2C Hawkeye before transitioning to the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye. This shoulder patch commemorates that historic milestone. The E-2C served the Navy for decades as the backbone of carrier airborne early warning, and VAW-123's last ride marked the end of an era for the platform. Deployed with Carrier Air Wing 3 from NAS Norfolk, the Screwtops' farewell to the Charlie model opened the door to the significantly more capable E-2D.
Perfect For: VAW-123 Screwtops E-2C veterans, E-2C Hawkeye farewell commemorators, CVW-3 members, and Navy aircraft transition milestone patch collectors.
