Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 123 (VAW-123), the Screwtops, deployed aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) during the 2023 holiday season. This Christmas cruise embroidered patch commemorates spending the holidays at sea during what became one of the most operationally intense carrier deployments in recent memory. The Eisenhower and her air wing, including VAW-123, conducted combat operations in the Red Sea during this deployment.
