VAW-120, the Greyhawks, is the Navy's Fleet Replacement Squadron for the E-2 Hawkeye and C-2 Greyhound communities — and now the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, the most capable airborne early warning aircraft in the world. Based at NAS Norfolk, Virginia, the Greyhawks train every E-2 pilot, naval flight officer, and maintainer before they join the fleet. The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye features a completely redesigned radar, glass cockpit, and aerial refueling capability that transforms it from an early warning platform into a true battle management command node. This shoulder patch features the E-2D specifically, representing the latest chapter in VAW-120's mission of producing combat-ready Hawkeye crews.
