Official VAQ-141 Shadowhawks EA-6B Prowler "Let's Roll" US flag commemorative patch.

Let's Roll — Prowlers in the dark, post-9/11, enduring freedom.

Electronic Attack Squadron 141 (VAQ-141), the "Shadowhawks," was established in July 1987 at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington as the twelfth operational EA-6B Prowler squadron, was assigned to Carrier Air Wing EIGHT (CVW-8), and embarked on USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) for her maiden cruise to the Mediterranean in 1989. During Operation Desert Storm in 1991, VAQ-141 was the first CVW-8 squadron to deliver ordnance — firing AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles on the very first night and rolling back the Iraqi integrated air defense network for the strike packages behind them. The Shadowhawks went on to fly continuous combat over the next two decades — Operation Provide Comfort, Deny Flight over Bosnia, Southern Watch, Allied Force in 1999, and after the September 11, 2001 attacks, Operation Enduring Freedom over Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. "Let's Roll" — the words spoken by passenger Todd Beamer aboard United Flight 93 before he and others rushed the cockpit on 9/11 — became a rallying cry across the U.S. military in the months and years that followed, and many fleet squadrons stitched the phrase onto commemorative patches as a tribute to the GWOT generation. VAQ-141 flew the EA-6B Prowler from 1987 until April 2009, when they returned from deployment and began transitioning to the EA-18G Growler. This US-flag Prowler patch carries the Shadowhawks' post-9/11 lineage forward.

Perfect For: VAQ-141 Shadowhawks active-duty and veteran personnel, EA-6B Prowler pilots, NFOs, and aircrew, NAS Whidbey Island Prowler community alumni, post-9/11 GWOT veterans, CVW-8 USS Theodore Roosevelt Sailors, and "Let's Roll" tribute patch collectors.
