This JOPA (Junior Officer's Protection Association) patch from Electronic Attack Squadron 133 (VAQ-133), the Wizards, celebrates the time-honored naval aviation tradition of junior officers banding together in mock solidarity. VAQ-133 operates the EA-18G Growler from NAS Whidbey Island, Washington, as part of Carrier Air Wing 9, conducting electronic warfare and suppression of enemy air defenses. JOPA culture is a beloved tradition in Navy squadrons — junior officers create their own unofficial organizations, patches, and call signs as a way to build camaraderie and gently push back against the hierarchy with humor. The "Push It Up" motto captures the Wizards' JOPA spirit.
