Official MWSS-273 AOPS Fuels Platoon PVC Patch
Keeping the jets fueled and the mission moving at MCAS Beaufort.
Marine Wing Support Squadron 273 (MWSS-273), known as the "Sweathogs," provides essential airfield operations, engineering, and logistics support to Marine aircraft groups. The Aviation Operations (AOPS) Fuels Platoon is the lifeblood of the flightline — responsible for receiving, storing, testing, and distributing aviation fuel to every aircraft that launches from the airfield. Without the fuels platoon, not a single aircraft gets off the ground. Assigned to Marine Air Control Group 28 (MACG-28) and supporting operations at MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, MWSS-273's fuels Marines work around the clock in heat, rain, and cold to ensure an uninterrupted supply of JP-5 and JP-8 reaches every squadron on the flight schedule.
Perfect For:
MWSS-273 Sweathogs current and former members, Marine aviation fuels specialists, MCAS Beaufort personnel, wing support squadron veterans, and Marine logistics PVC patch collectors.
No fuel, no fly — the Sweathogs keep it flowing.
