The Bladerunners of MALS-36 QASO have earned their flightline qualification — certified to operate on the active flight line where one mistake means catastrophe. This PVC patch represents the QA Marines who have proven they can work safely among running aircraft.
MALS-36's Quality Assurance and Safety Office (QASO) ensures that maintenance on 1st Marine Aircraft Wing aircraft meets the highest standards. The Flightline Qualification patch certifies that a Marine has completed the training and demonstrated the competency to operate safely on the active flight line around running aircraft, spinning rotors, and jet blast. It's a critical qualification that separates trained professionals from everyone else.
