Official MAG-16 2025 Patch - Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, MCAS Miramar, officially licensed embroidered patch marking the 2025 edition of this storied USMC aviation group.

Anytime, Anywhere — the motto of the group that has carried Marines, cargo, and combat power from Vietnam to the present day without hesitation or pause.

Marine Aircraft Group 16 was established on March 1, 1952, at Marine Corps Air Station Santa Ana, California, earning the distinction of being the first helicopter group in the Marine Corps. From Operation Shufly in Vietnam in 1962 through the Battle of Khe Sanh, Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and humanitarian relief following the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami, MAG-16 has answered every call. Today the group is based at MCAS Miramar and falls under the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and I Marine Expeditionary Force, operating four MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor squadrons and four CH-53E Super Stallion heavy-lift squadrons as the assault support backbone of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. In the two years leading into 2025 alone, MAG-16 accumulated more than 26,000 flight hours and 15,000 sorties while supporting MEU deployments, Exercise Steel Knight, and operations across the Indo-Pacific — a pace that underscores why the group is recognized as the Marine Corps' largest air assault support unit. The 2025 edition of this patch captures that unbroken lineage in embroidered form, connecting more than seven decades of vertical lift heritage to the Marines and maintainers who keep the mission moving right now.

Perfect for MAG-16 veterans, active-duty Marines and sailors assigned to Miramar, MV-22B Osprey and CH-53E Super Stallion crew members, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing collectors, aviation logistics personnel, deployment keepsake displays, shadow boxes, challenge coin and patch boards, reunion gifts, and anyone building a serious Marine Corps aviation collection that honors assault support heritage from the Vietnam era through today's expeditionary operations. Families and supporters who want a clean, dated tribute to the group's current service will find the 2025 designation gives this piece a specific place in any collection.

MAG-16 heritage, stitched for the crews, the maintainers, and the mission that never stops.
