Kaneohe Bay Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting Patch — Embroidered Patch
Into the Fire — MCAS Kaneohe Bay ARFF
When an aircraft goes down on the runway, when fuel ignites, when lives hang in the balance between flame and rescue, the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Marines of MCAS Kaneohe Bay are already rolling. This patch honors the first responders of Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay — the firefighters who run toward the fire so others can survive.
Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Marines at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, are responsible for the rescue and safety of personnel involved in aircraft mishaps on the airfield and its immediate environment. Their secondary mission is to minimize damage to government and private property using specialized firefighting equipment including P-19 firefighting vehicles, Mobile Aircraft Firefighting Training Devices, and hazardous materials response capabilities. ARFF Marines train constantly with live-fire scenarios, casualty evacuation drills, and joint exercises with Federal Fire Department personnel and Army aviation units. In 2023, MCAS Kaneohe Bay ARFF became the first unit in the Marine Corps to conduct an Emergency Medical Responder course, further expanding their life-saving capabilities.
Perfect For: ARFF Marines, Marine aviation firefighters, MCAS Kaneohe Bay personnel, MCB Hawaii Marines, and anyone who respects the firefighters who stand between disaster and survival.
Into the fire. ARFF — saving lives on the flight line.
