HSM-74, the Swamp Foxes, fly the MH-60R Seahawk out of NAS Jacksonville, Florida, as part of Carrier Air Wing Three. Originally established in 1986 as HSL-44 and redesignated HSM-74 in 2011, the Swamp Foxes conduct anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and maritime strike operations from aircraft carriers and surface combatants. In their 2023-2024 deployment aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Swamp Foxes flew over 2,500 missions and nearly 7,000 flight hours, engaging Houthi-employed small boats in the Red Sea and rescuing 26 civilian mariners from Houthi attacks.
