**Officially Licensed USMC VMFAT-501 Warlords Sticker — Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron Vinyl Sticker**

The Warlords — from FJ Furies and F-8 Crusaders during the Cold War to training the next generation of F-35B Lightning II pilots. VMFAT-501 carries over seven decades of Marine fighter heritage.

VMFAT-501, the "Warlords," traces its lineage to VMF-451, which first saw action during World War II. In 1956, VMF-451 became the first Marine squadron to receive the FJ-4 Fury, and later transitioned to the F-8 Crusader and F-4 Phantom II. As VMFA-451, the Warlords were the first Marine unit to attack Iraqi forces at the opening of Operation Desert Storm on January 17, 1991. Deactivated in 1997, the squadron was reactivated on April 1, 2010, as VMFAT-501 at Eglin Air Force Base to serve as the Marine Corps' F-35B Lightning II Fleet Replacement Squadron. Now based at MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, under MAG-31 and 2nd MAW, VMFAT-501 trains every Marine F-35B pilot and maintainer for the fleet.
