Officially Licensed USMC VMFA-214 Blacksheep F-35 Sticker — Pappy's Squadron Enters the Fifth Generation

From Corsairs over the Solomons to Lightning IIs in the Indo-Pacific, the Blacksheep are still the most famous squadron in Marine aviation.

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 214 (VMFA-214) — the 'Blacksheep' — is the most recognized squadron in Marine Corps aviation history, made famous by Medal of Honor recipient Colonel Gregory 'Pappy' Boyington and immortalized in the 1970s television series 'Baa Baa Black Sheep.' The squadron was originally activated on July 1, 1942, and reactivated under Boyington's command in August 1943 as a collection of unassigned pilots who quickly became one of the highest-scoring fighter squadrons of the war, racking up 97 confirmed aerial victories while flying the F4U Corsair across the Solomon Islands. Boyington himself shot down 28 enemy aircraft before being shot down and captured on January 3, 1944. After World War II, the Blacksheep flew the F-8 Crusader in Vietnam, the AV-8B Harrier II during Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom, and conducted multiple deployments to the Western Pacific and Middle East over seven decades of continuous service. Based at MCAS Yuma, Arizona, under Marine Aircraft Group 13 and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, VMFA-214 transitioned to the F-35B Lightning II — bringing the Marine Corps' most famous squadron into the fifth-generation stealth fighter era. The Blacksheep F-35B represents the continuation of a legacy that stretches from the jungles of Guadalcanal to the flight decks of amphibious assault ships in the Indo-Pacific, carrying with it the spirit of the misfits and outcasts who became the most feared fighter squadron in the Pacific. This F-35 sticker captures the Blacksheep in their newest chapter — stealth, speed, and the same fighting spirit that Pappy built.

Perfect For: VMFA-214 Blacksheep Marines past and present, F-35B Lightning II pilots and maintainers, Corsair and Harrier veterans, MAG-13 and 3rd MAW personnel, MCAS Yuma Marines, and anyone who has ever cheered for the most famous misfits in Marine Corps aviation.
