The U.S. Customs San Angelo Air Branch operated in west-central Texas, conducting aerial surveillance and interdiction operations over a vast expanse of rangeland, desert, and border terrain. San Angelo crews tracked smuggling aircraft crossing from Mexico and provided aerial support to ground enforcement operations across one of the least populated and most challenging sectors on the Southwest border.
