The Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) is the software suite used by military aviators to plan missions, and this patch recognizes 1,000 hours of JMPS usage during the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployment with VMM-163. Any aviator who's spent that many hours in JMPS has earned more than a patch — they've earned a medal for patience.
