Official HMLA-267 Flagship (El Fuego) Skull PVC Glow Patch — Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 267 PVC Patch
El Fuego—the Stingers bring the heat with this fiery skull PVC glow patch, capturing the aggressive spirit of HMLA-267 and the light/attack helicopter community.
Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 267 (HMLA-267), the "Stingers," is a combat-tested light attack helicopter squadron assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California. The Stingers operate the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter and UH-1Y Venom utility helicopter in the Marine Corps' signature light/attack team configuration, providing close air support, armed escort, armed reconnaissance, forward air control (airborne), and utility operations in support of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
HMLA-267 was originally activated on 1 October 1968 as Marine Light Helicopter Squadron 267 (HML-267) and has served with distinction across multiple decades of combat operations. The squadron deployed in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1990–1991, and during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, the Stingers flew thousands of combat hours providing close air support and armed reconnaissance for Marine ground forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The squadron has also deployed aboard amphibious assault ships as part of Marine Expeditionary Unit Aviation Combat Elements, taking the light/attack team to sea for crisis response operations worldwide.
This "El Fuego" skull PVC glow patch represents the aggressive, warrior ethos of HMLA-267—the fire-breathing spirit of attack helicopter crews who fly low and fast into the most dangerous airspace on the battlefield to protect Marines on the ground. The glow-in-the-dark elements add a distinctive tactical aesthetic, making this patch stand out on flight suits, helmet bags, and gear both day and night. The Stingers' reputation for aggressive flying and precision weapons employment has made them one of the most respected HMLA squadrons in the Marine Corps.
Perfect For: HMLA-267 Stingers members and veterans, AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom crew members, MAG-39 personnel, 3rd MAW service members, Marine light attack helicopter community members, and PVC glow patch collectors.
El Fuego—the Stingers of HMLA-267 bring the fire, the fury, and the precision that only a Marine light/attack team can deliver.
