CH-53 Afghanistan Patch — Sikorsky CH-53 Operation Enduring Freedom Embroidered Patch

CH-53 Afghanistan — heavy-lift helicopters in the mountains of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The CH-53E Super Stallion provided critical heavy-lift helicopter capability during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. CH-53 crews transported troops, vehicles, artillery, and supplies across Afghanistan's rugged mountain terrain, where road networks were limited and ground movement was slow and dangerous. The Super Stallion's ability to lift heavy loads at high altitudes was essential in a country where many operating bases sat above 5,000 feet elevation. CH-53 crews flew in demanding conditions including extreme heat, dust storms, and high-density altitude that reduced helicopter performance.

Perfect For:
CH-53 OEF veterans, Marine heavy helicopter squadron Afghanistan veterans, Super Stallion pilots and aircrew, GWOT helicopter community, and Operation Enduring Freedom aviation patch collectors.

CH-53 Afghanistan. Heavy lift in the mountains.
