CH-46 crews flew Marines into hot landing zones, evacuated casualties, delivered supplies to forward positions, and became the backbone of Marine helicopter operations in Vietnam. The Phrog's reliability and ruggedness in the harsh Vietnamese environment earned it the enduring loyalty of its crews. This ribbon patch combines the Vietnam service ribbon with the helicopter that moved Marines for four decades.
