CH-46 Phrog Phlyers Phorever Patch — Embroidered Patch
Once a Phrog Phlyer, Always a Phrog Phlyer
The CH-46 may have been retired, but the Phrog community never will be. "Phrog Phlyers Phorever" is the rallying cry of every Marine who ever flew, crewed, or maintained the Sea Knight — a declaration that the bond forged in the cabin and cockpit of the Phrog transcends the aircraft's service life. This patch is for the tribe that refuses to let the legend die.
The CH-46 Sea Knight community is one of the most passionate and tightly knit groups in Marine aviation. For over fifty years, the Phrog was the aircraft that defined medium-lift helicopter operations for the Marine Corps. Pilots earned their wings in her cockpit, crew chiefs mastered their craft in her cabin, and generations of grunt Marines rode in her belly to and from the fight. The Phrog community developed its own culture, language, and traditions — from the distinctive "Phrog" spelling to the irreverent humor that only a tandem-rotor community could appreciate. When the last CH-46 made its final flight in 2015, it marked the end of an era but not the end of the brotherhood.
Perfect For:
CH-46 aircrew veterans, Phrog pilots and crew chiefs, Marine medium helicopter community members, Sea Knight enthusiasts, retirement ceremony attendees, and military aviation heritage collectors
The Phrog is gone. The Phrog Phlyers are forever.
