CH-46 Phrog Iraq — the Sea Knight's final combat deployments in the sands of OIF.

The CH-46E Sea Knight served in some of its final combat deployments during Operation Iraqi Freedom, transporting Marines, supplies, and casualties across the Iraqi theater. The venerable Phrog had been the backbone of Marine medium helicopter operations for over 40 years by the time OIF began, and the aircraft and its crews performed with the same reliability and determination that had defined the type since Vietnam. CH-46 combat aircrew in Iraq flew in challenging desert conditions, navigating dust storms and brownout landings while delivering Marines to the fight. This patch honors the Phrog community's OIF service.
