CH-37 Patch — Sikorsky CH-37 Mojave Heavy Lift Helicopter Embroidered Patch
CH-37 Mojave — the Marine Corps' first heavy-lift helicopter.
The Sikorsky CH-37 Mojave was the Marine Corps' first true heavy-lift helicopter, capable of carrying loads that no previous rotary-wing aircraft could manage. The CH-37 featured a unique clamshell nose door design that allowed vehicles and heavy equipment to be loaded directly into the fuselage. The Mojave served during the late 1950s and 1960s, bridging the gap between the early utility helicopters of the Korean War era and the CH-53 Sea Stallion that would become the Marine Corps' heavy-lift workhorse. The CH-37 proved that helicopters could move significant cargo and equipment, fundamentally changing Marine logistics.
Perfect For:
CH-37 Mojave pilots and crews, Marine heavy-lift helicopter pioneers, Sikorsky heavy helicopter enthusiasts, vintage rotary-wing aviation historians, and USMC helicopter heritage patch collectors.
