Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Central Command 20.2 (SPMAGTF-CR-CC 20.2) was a Marine expeditionary unit designed for rapid crisis response operations within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. This rotation leveraged assets including VMGR-252's KC-130J Hercules and SMM-166 support elements to provide the combatant commander with a scalable, rapidly deployable Marine force capable of embassy reinforcement, tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel, theater security cooperation, and humanitarian assistance. SPMAGTF-CR-CC units represent the Marine Corps' commitment to forward-positioned, crisis-ready forces.
