Aviation Ordnance IYAOYAS PVC Patch — Aviation Ordnanceman IYAOYAS PVC Patch
If You Ain't Ordnance, You Ain't S*** — the ordies' battle cry in a bold PVC patch, honoring the red-shirted warriors who arm the aircraft and keep the bombs on target.
IYAOYAS — "If You Ain't Ordnance, You Ain't S***" — is the legendary motto of the Aviation Ordnance community, the men and women who load, arm, and maintain the weapons systems on every combat aircraft in the Navy and Marine Corps. Aviation Ordnancemen (AO rating in the Navy) are the red-shirted flight deck crew members responsible for handling live ordnance in some of the most dangerous working environments in the military — the flight decks and weapons magazines of aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships.
Aviation Ordnancemen handle everything from 500-pound and 2,000-pound bombs to air-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, rockets, and gun ammunition. They build up weapons, program guidance systems, load munitions onto aircraft, and conduct pre-flight checks to ensure every round, missile, and bomb will function as designed when the pilot pulls the trigger. The work is physically demanding, technically precise, and inherently dangerous — a single mistake in weapons handling can result in a catastrophic explosion that endangers the entire ship.
The IYAOYAS motto is more than a slogan — it's a statement of pride from a community that knows its work is the reason aircraft can kill the enemy. Without ordnance, a fighter jet is just a very fast and very expensive airplane. This PVC patch captures that swagger in a durable, weather-resistant format that ordies proudly wear on gear, bags, and plate carriers.
Perfect For: Aviation Ordnancemen (AOs) past and present, Marine Corps ordnance MOS holders, red-shirt flight deck crew, carrier and amphibious ship veterans, and military ordnance enthusiasts.
IYAOYAS — If You Ain't Ordnance, You Ain't S*** — because nothing flies, fights, or wins without the red shirts loading the thunder.
