official-vp-1-halloween-shoulder-patch
Official VP-1 Halloween Shoulder Patch

Official VP-1 Halloween Shoulder Patch - Patrol Squadron One (VP-1) Screaming Eagles U.S. Navy Official Halloween Edition Embroidered Shoulder Patch.

Screaming Eagles spirit meets Halloween tradition in a limited-edition shoulder patch that carries one of naval aviation's oldest unit identities into its most spirited seasonal form.

Patrol Squadron One was established on 15 February 1943 as Bombing Squadron 128 and has operated continuously ever since, building a record that spans World War II anti-submarine patrols in the North Atlantic, Vietnam-era surveillance missions out of Iwakuni, Japan, Cold War submarine tracking across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, and the distinction of becoming the first maritime patrol squadron to conduct armed surveillance missions in the Arabian Gulf in 1996. The Screaming Eagles nickname, adopted in 1985, replaced the earlier Fleet's Finest callsign and has since become one of the most recognized identities in Navy patrol aviation. Today the squadron flies the Boeing P-8A Poseidon from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington, continuing a mission set that includes anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence gathering, and broad-area maritime surveillance. A Halloween shoulder patch issued under the VP-1 name carries that full weight of lineage into a seasonal design that crews, veterans, and collectors recognize as a genuine piece of squadron culture rather than a novelty item. Seasonal patches like this one mark deployment milestones, morale events, and the kind of unit personality that never appears in official records but lives on in shadow boxes, cruise books, and patch panels for decades.

Perfect For: VP-1 Screaming Eagles veterans and active-duty crew members, P-8A Poseidon and P-3 Orion alumni, NAS Whidbey Island collectors, Navy patrol aviation enthusiasts, Halloween-themed military patch collectors, deployment keepsake displays, shadow boxes, cruise book supplements, squadron reunion tables, and anyone building a unit-history collection that captures both the operational record and the morale culture of one of the Navy's most storied maritime patrol squadrons.

Screaming Eagles lineage, stitched into a seasonal piece that belongs in every serious VP-1 collection.
