The Liberty Bells are the oldest and only original squadron in Carrier Air Wing Five, having joined CVW-5 in 1970 and completed two combat deployments to the Gulf of Tonkin aboard USS Midway. In September 1973 the squadron moved with CVW-5 to Yokosuka, Japan, becoming part of the U.S. Forward Deployed Naval Forces and cementing a decades-long identity as the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed airborne early warning squadron. Flying the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye today, VAW-115 serves as the tactical quarterback in the sky for carrier strike groups, delivering long-range surveillance, air intercept control, battle management, and surface surveillance across the Indo-Pacific. Halloween patches and name tags are a long-running Navy squadron morale tradition, and a Liberty Bells set captures the same unit character that defines cruise patches, Friday patches, and deployment insignia — just with a seasonal twist that reflects the humor and cohesion of a tight-knit aircrew community.

Perfect For: VAW-115 Liberty Bells veterans and active aircrew, E-2 Hawkeye community members, CVW-5 and CVW-11 alumni, Naval Air Facility Atsugi and NAS Point Mugu personnel, Navy aviation morale patch collectors, Halloween display boards, shadow boxes, cruise book pages, reunion tables, and anyone who wants a seasonal piece tied to one of the Navy's most historically significant airborne early warning squadrons. The set also makes a memorable gift for families, maintainers, and supporters who appreciate the lighter side of squadron culture alongside the serious operational heritage behind the Liberty Bells name.

Liberty Bells heritage, stitched with squadron spirit for the season.
