Operating across Vietnam, the Air Ambulance Platoon of the First Team was the only aeromedical unit in-country to use MEDEVAC as its official radio call sign rather than the more common Dustoff, and individual pilots flew under the call sign Mercy, a word stitched directly into the unit's handmade insignia. Flying unarmed UH-1 Hueys marked with red crosses, crews launched into active landing zones to pull wounded soldiers from the battlefield and deliver them to medical stations in the shortest time possible. The Geneva Convention prohibited armament on the aircraft, yet the enemy fired on them without hesitation, and the Cav's air ambulance crews answered every call regardless. Across the broader Vietnam MEDEVAC effort, crews flew nearly 500,000 missions and airlifted more than 900,000 patients, a record tied directly to the discipline, courage, and medical professionalism that defined the Cav's aeromedical identity. That legacy carried forward through Iraq, Afghanistan, and every theater where Army Cavalry aviation units have supported ground forces with life-saving lift. This vinyl sticker captures that identity in a durable, weather-resistant format sized for helmets, water bottles, vehicle windows, range bags, and unit display boards.

Perfect For: 1st Cavalry Division veterans, Army MEDEVAC and Dustoff aircrew alumni, UH-1 and UH-60 helicopter crew members, aeromedical evacuation supporters, Vietnam airmobile collectors, military medical aviation enthusiasts, shadow box builders, reunion gift shoppers, and anyone who wants a clean, mission-specific tribute to the Army Cav crews who flew unarmed into the fight to bring soldiers home.

First Cav MEDEVAC identity, carried on vinyl for every surface that deserves the story.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0742/9831/files/4Patch_33_7ac3718e-b272-4d98-b267-ca6f82b35b7d.png?v=1793726650
